Wing participation is an important step in the growth of a CAP member.  Very few CAP members have figured out how to clone themselves. Wing participation may result in fewer hours being spent in performing squadron leadership positions.  The squadron and individual should ensure that suffiecient depth in the squadron postion is present to facilitate any transition. Don't fly to Wing and leave the squadron a sitting duck. Succession planning is an important process.
